The design challenge for us is “Bring information to life”.
The problem we chose for this theme is “Promoting wellness and physical activity” which is a global issue. To understand it deeper, we did the research. It shows not getting enough physical exercise can bring high health and obesity, and people who are insufficiently active have a 20% to 30% increased risk of death compared. But worldwide there are one-quarter of adults who do not have enough activity, and more than 80% of teenagers lack physical activity. Due to today’s technological and developmental environment that is the main factor caused the lack of physical exercise more and more people need to sit for a long time instead go outside. So the client we are focusing on is young adults between 16-30 years old because this group of people has a strong workload, and don’t have much time to effort to exercise.
We also did surveys to get more data and information.
In response to this problem depend on the research, we brainstormed ideas and did concept sketches.
Then we discussed and evaluated to choose one best idea from them to be focused and developed.
And decided to use the first one as the final design.

This is a physical product that can help the user to exercise autonomously.
There is a hole on the top of the product to insert the marbles which are used as the daily goals. The top "V" shaped block is rotational that can be manually tilted to both left and right side. The other diagonal blocks can guide marbles to fall into the right hole, the left one is for the bigger marbles which means achieve the goal, and the right one is for the smaller marbles which means failed to the goal.
There is a draw at the bottom as a reward after the user success the 30 days challenge

The user can see the marbles through the clear plastic cut out part, which is perfect for 30 bigger marbles.
